Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you call us: licensing, brands, service areas, quotes, and how we work.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Ozi Network Solutions holds NSW Master Security Licence MA 000110911 plus all required trade licences for the work we do, and we are fully insured.

How do quotes and callouts work?

Quotes are no-obligation and free. For straightforward jobs we can often quote remotely from photos, calls, videos etc. Give us more details as best you can like in our form, and it will help us give you the absolute best and lowest price we can offer. For larger or more complex jobs we'll come to your property, walk it with you, and provide a written quote before any work begins.A callout fee may apply for on-site assessments depending on location and scope, and anything outside our usual radius will attract travel surcharge. We'll always confirm any fee up front before booking a visit.

Can you install equipment I have already purchased, or quote on supply only?

Yes. Supply-and-install is most common, but we'll also install equipment you've already bought, or quote on supply only.

What brands do you install, and are you tied to any of them?

We're vendor-neutral and don't have exclusive supply arrangements with any single brand. We work with most major manufacturers, including Hikvision, HiLook, Dahua, Ubiquiti UniFi Protect, TVT, and more. We pick equipment that fits your site, your budget, and any preferences you already have.

What is structured cabling and do I need it?

Structured cabling is a professionally installed and tested Ethernet system, typically CAT6 or CAT6A, that connects rooms, workstations, cameras, TVs, and access points back to a central switch or patch panel. It's faster and more reliable than Wi-Fi for fixed devices, and adds long-term value to a property.

Do you work on commercial sites as well as homes?

Yes. We work across residential, retail, hospitality, warehouse, office, and small-industrial sites, from single-AP Wi-Fi setups through to multi-AP roaming networks, full CCTV systems, and structured cabling. Get in touch with project details and we'll come back with a tailored quote.

What areas do you service and how far do you travel?

We service the entire Sydney region, both residential and commercial. That covers greater metropolitan Sydney and most surrounding areas including Greater Western Sydney, the Hills, Sutherland Shire, Northern Beaches, North Shore, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, South West Sydney, Macarthur, and the Penrith / Blue Mountains foothills. A callout fee may apply depending on distance.

I'm not sure if my address is in range. Can you check?

Yes. Send through your suburb or address and we'll confirm whether we cover it before we both spend any time on it.

I live a couple of hours from Sydney and really like your work. Will you come out this way?

In most cases yes, we're happy to travel for the right job. Work outside our usual Sydney radius will attract a callout fee appropriate to the distance, and for larger or more complex jobs that travel cost is worth weighing up against the scope. Send through your address and what you're after and we'll let you know what's involved and confirm any fee up front before booking anything in.
